"My mother bought a copy of this album on cd for the family car and in my early driving days I would listen to it all the time. When I left for college, I burned all my favorite cds on to my new laptop, but in those days the album artwork wouldn’t automatically populate. I figured out how to add the image in iTunes, because the bowl with spilled cherries, their bright red against white and black was so important to me.

When my daughter was a newborn I would sing “Lovely Linda” to her, swapping her name into the lyrics. Like everything else on the album it feels deceptively casual and simple. I think of this as the ultimate DIY project- recorded at home, with Paul doing the recording and production himself in secret while stealing time away from his day job and raising a family."
