"Some of my favorite childhood movies involved kids building spaceships to travel to space or aliens visiting earth. When exposed to human civilization the aliens seemed to appreciate the unique experience of rock and roll more than anything else. People used to gather in banquet halls to dance to gibberish on starry summer nights. Now having a greater knowledge of history we know those probably weren't better times, but perhaps simpler. Back when the idea of little Richard being our planetary emissary to galactic beings felt hopeful."
